Gloomy Day
Lonely
No One To Talk To
No Homework

I am upset because I don't get to go to the economics showcase at Purdue. Earlier this year our class had a business. Our product was cookies in a jar. We also made hot cocoa in a jar. Several other classrooms in other schools in this area did it too. So, at Purdue, each class that participated makes a poster and comes to Purdue to show off their product. Only four students get to go from each class. I wasn't chosen from my class. My teacher, YA, chose my classmate that came up with one of the products, and my classmate who worked out the ordering of the products. The other to were voted on by my class. I was absent that day so, nobody elected me since I wasn't there. Now, the four students that were picked are working on the poster. They are being very snobby about it and doesn't let anyone come near the poster. I don't no why because we all worked on the product and helped sell it, but now it is all theirs. They won't even let anyone look at it. They are working on it in the back of the classroom, where I sit. I think the poster is coming out very ugly. The poster is white and they put these sparkly dark red letters on it and then they covered it in black, leaving a hole for the letters. They say it will make everything POP! Most recently, they covered the two sides and the bottom of the poster with wavy red bordering. I don't no what they are going to do next. The weirdest thing is that they didn't even make a plan for the design. I made the suggestion of putting cookies in a jar on one flap and hot cocoa in the other flap and then put all the economy stuff in the middle. They said it was a good idea and that they are going to do it. I think the layout will look nice, mostly because it was my idea. That might distract the judges from the horrible background. Maybe I'm being to negative about their design. What do you think? Leave a comment.
Today I made a design and layout of how I think it should look. I left the background white and just put some bright borders around pictures and text boxes. What will they do with the poster next?

Sorry you weren't there to get elected. I think your ideas for the poster sound great. Also, I think this blog post is well written. You may have a future as journalist!
